Magdalena Egger

2019 ABC Bullion Go4Gold Award Winner Magdalena Egger.

At the European Youth Olympics Festival in Sarajevo, the 18-year-old Magdalena Egger from Lech managed a great coup, winning 2 golds and a silver. To begin with, she won the gold medal in slalom. Two days later, she carved her way to victory in the giant slalom, despite this not being her favourite discipline. Until now, Magdalena, who is a student in Stams, had felt more comfortable in slalom and the speed disciplines. Towards the end of the Youth Olympics, she crowned her achievements with a silver medal in the team event. At the Closing Ceremony in east Sarajevo, Magdalena was given a special honour: the golden girl from the Arlberg, who recently celebrated her 18th birthday, was selected to carry the flag for the 34-member Austrian Youth Olympics Team.
