Everyday is Earth Day at Pallion

Earth Day 2020, 22nd April

On 22 April 1970, 20 million people took part in an environmental demonstration which is now credited with launching the modern environmental movement that you see today. 50 years on we still have a duty to reduce our impact on the environment, adopting practices that use sustainable resources and minimise the generation of waste.

At Pallion, we pride ourselves on instilling processes and practices to reduce our carbon footprint in achieving a cleaner future for generations to come.

Consideration for the environment is at the forefront of ABC Bullion and ABC Refinery’s business strategy. They call it Considerate Gold. The refinery is committed to environmental sustainability and producing green gold with zero emissions. Their key priority is responsible sourcing and do not accept refining material from regions or companies that do not adhere to the strictest environmental regulations including ecosystem protections and rehabilitation initiatives. They have invested and everyday engage in wastewater treatment, recycling, Acidless Separation Technology (ALS) and pyrolytic incineration to refine with no hazardous chemicals using solely heat and air pressure. 

Palloys are the first Responsible Jewellery Council (RJC), certified jewellery manufacturer and wholesaler, in Australia. Certified RJC members like Palloys are subject to a rigorous independent audit process whereby production standards are graded against the RJC code of Practices – an international standard on responsible business practices for diamonds, gold and platinum group metals. The RJC Code of Practices addresses human rights, labour rights, environmental impact, mining practices, product disclosure and other matters related to the jewellery supply chain.
